Why You'll Love These Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts

Super simple to make- They take under 30 minutes to make. They are also baked instead of fried so you don't have to mess with hot oil and the whole frying process!

Extra cinnamon flavor- They have cinnamon mixed into the batter and they're rolled in cinnamon sugar after baking to give them extra cinnamon flavor.

Super moist-These homemade donuts use sour cream and buttermilk to make them extra rich and give them a moist crumb.

FAQs

How do I store these donuts? Store them in an airtight container or large ziplock bag for up to three days.

Can these donuts be fried? No, this recipe is specifically for baked cinnamon donuts.

Can these be made into mini donuts? If you have mini donut baking pans, sure! (You could also use a mini muffin pan.) Baking time will be different, start with 8 minutes and add more time as necessary.

Pro Tips

For best results, measure your flour properly. This is always my #1 baking tip. Do not ever scoop a measuring cup into your flour. This will always lead to using too much flour. Instead sprinkle spoonfuls of flour into your measuring cup and swipe excess flour off with the back of a knife. Or better yet, weigh your flour. 1 cup of flour equals 125 grams.

Make sure all the wet ingredients are at room temperature. The donuts will bake the best and have the best texture when the wet ingredients are room temperature instead of cold.
