Goodbye March! This month flew by, just as the last. It always seems that January stretches on, then February and March race by. This month was heavily work focused, and that whole idea of work/life balance seems to have been forgotten. My entire camera roll for March is all desserts, minus a few photos of my cats and coffee LOL. But, there is a very good reason for this!
This month I have been planning a big trip for May, and because we will be gone for the entire month, I've needed to prepare content to share while we're gone. I am beyond excited to say that we are going to do a full month tour of Europe. I could cry thinking about it. I have longed to return to Europe ever since coming home from our last trip in 2019. Sometimes I daydream about what it would be like to live in the English countryside and be able to zip away on the Eurostar to Paris whenever we fancied a trip. I've been trying to convince my husband for three years now that we should settle down in the Cotswolds, but alas here we are still in Florida. Needless to say, I am very excited to be heading back to Europe this May and because of this I have devoted all of March, and will be doing so with April as well, to creating lots and lots of recipes to share while we are away!
I plan to share our trip itinerary as well as we go from country to country in an effort to start adding a travel segment to In Bloom! After baking, traveling is my favorite thing to do and I would love to share that part of my life with you all; best places to eat, pretty things to see and best activities. That's what I'm thinking 🙂
In preparation for our trip I've been updating my closet and got a few new pieces I'm so excited about! This month I also tried out new makeup and skin care that I have been loving.
Overall, this month saw lots of working and prepping, but soon I know I'll be taking some time of rest. There's a season for everything, and this is a season of working it seems.

Favorite Clothes & Other Finds
This year I told myself that I really want to work on my personal style and stop wearing active wear as my daily outfit LOL. So, this month I really started to put together some pieces that I think are timeless and classic, that I'll be able to wear for a long time and feel great in!
Blazer Sets
Something I've been wanting is blazers! I just think they're so chic and I feel amazing wearing them. I got this super cute black blazer with ruched sleeves and a beige cropped blazer and shorts set. Absolutely love both!
Trousers & Jeans
Both pairs of pants are extremely flattering and so comfy!
Linen Button Downs

I think that button downs just look so flattering. You can dress them up or down and I feel so put together when I'm wearing them. I found some great Amazon ones that aren't too baggy and have nice fabric.
Amazon Spring Dress
I love this dress! So cute and flattering, and perfect for spring!
Espadrille Wedges
The cutest sandals for spring and summer!
Makeup & Skin Care
I've been on a journey to reduce the toxins in my life, and my makeup and skincare were high up on the list of the most toxic products I used; yikes! I have found some incredible low tox/non tox alternatives that work just as well and honestly I think better than traditional makeup brands. The two brands I'm loving right now are ILIA and 100% Pure.
From 100% Pure, I love their tinted moisturizer and long last cream concealer. I've actually stopped wearing heavy foundation and instead just use the tinted moisturizer as foundation. I used to love thick matte foundation but as I'm getting older I'm finding. this just does not look good on my skin anymore. I need all the moisture LOL.
I've also been loving their rose water gel cleanser, coffee bean caffeine eye cream and Restorative Sea Culture Extra Riche Créme. I have pretty dry skin so these products really work for me.
From ILIA I love their soft focus finishing powder, fullest volumizing mascara, balmy gloss tinted lip oil and true skin serum concealer. The mascara was a game changer for me since all the other non toxic mascaras really did nothing for my lashes.
World Market Marble Table

I've wanted this table for seven years and I finally decided to buy it. I figured if I've loved it for this long, I will probably always love it. It's the perfect size for out cozy condo and it just looks so great. We also got this braided rug to go with it from Amazon and it's just so cute together!
Favorite Bible Reading

I'm reading through the gospels right now, and wow. I don't think I've ever read even one gospel all the way through, let alone all four, and it really is quite amazing to read about Jesus' life. To be honest, I had been struggling to get through my Bible reading and found myself becoming so apathetic. After the Old Testament I was excited to get to the New Testament but after reading through Matthew I found myself just not wanting to read again. But God pursued my heart and helped me to keep going. Something changed when I started reading Luke. I don't know if it is the way it is written or what but I found myself loving the Word again. Reading through Matthew and Mark and then getting to Luke God really started to reveal my current sin and apathy to me and gave me a renewed desire to read His word. I'm so thankful for how the Lord never stops pursuing me and how He always draws me back close to Him. I'm so looking forward to finishing the gospel of John as we draw close to Holy Week.
Favorite Recipes
I have been on a lemon kick! Seriously I am obsessed with lemon desserts and apparently so is everyone else! You all have been loving the lemon rolls and I am so grateful!

I hope you had a wonderful March! I'm looking forward to all April holds!
