These black velvet cheesecake cookies are the perfect treat to bake for spooky season! They are extra dark chocolate cookies, stuffed with creamy cheesecake filling and rolled in black cocoa sugar. They're super decadent cookies that taste just like an Oreo! They're the perfect Halloween treat!

Make the cheesecake filling and freeze until very firm.

Whisk together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream butter with sugars.

Add in egg yolks and vanilla. Then add in the dry ingredients.

Scoop the dough into 16 portions with a cookie scoop, then roll into balls. Press cookie dough to slightly flatten it out, then place a frozen cheesecake ball in the center.

Close the cheesecake ball in with the cookie dough and roll into a ball again. Cover in sugar. Make sure the cheesecake is covered in cookie dough.

Transfer the cookie dough to a prepared baking tray. Bake 6 cookies at a time. Then let cool.
